“They won’t fear it until they understand it and they won’t understand it until they’ve used it.” – J. Robert Oppenheimer

Hey there, my name is Hunter! I created this website to showcase my work and share some research and ideas I’ve had over the years.

FPGA Board Used for a Real-Time Acoustic Transceiver Published in IEEE OCEANS 2024

Software & Application Experience

C

Advanced knowledge of embedded systems & pipeline architecture. Experience with resource sharing, event flags and priority assignment.

Python

Creating programs for monitoring sensor responsiveness and data collection. Custom banking program to track and log employee activity (Tkinter).

SystemVerilog

Simple pipelines and memory implementations such as memory hierarchy for programming on an FPGA. Hardware applications of OS functions.

SolidWorks & Altair FEKO

Creating an enclosure for a magnetic inductive transceiver. Simulations in FEKO for electromagnetic properties such as permeability and permittivity of different materials in different mediums.

PSpice & Multisim

Basic circuit design for power systems and three-terminal transistors, with laboratory experiments to test and validate current and power requirements. Testing linearity of filters and applications of OP-Amps.

Microchip Studio

Facilitating students design and implementation of underwater probes programmed onto an Arduino Nano using C for collection of essential ocean variables using multiple external sensors.
